Tue 8th June

Fun Day: - The Fun Day will be this Sunday, 13th June from 2pm - 5pm. Similar to last year, activities for kids and presentation. If there is enough interest we will have parents/ coaches football. This year (rather than 15-a-side like last year) we can have players and coaches from each team playing small sided games. Come prepared for a game if you want to play. Hopefully we will have good weather and food and drink will be  available from the Rugby Club.

New Teams: - As ever, we will be looking at the groups with a view to making changes for after the Summer break. Kids develop physically and mentally at very different rates at these young ages so we will be trying to put them in the most appropriate team and the most appropriate division. The bottom line is that they will develop best (and enjoy football the most) if they are playing at the appropriate level for them at that  given time which is why we always make some changes every six months. A sudden growth spurt can make a huge difference to their balance, athleticism, co-ordination and have a big effect on their football until their body gets back into sync. I hope to put the new groups out before we break for Summer.

Summer Break: - We will finish matches on Sunday 20th June and the final training session will be Tuesday 29th June. We will resume training at Pinkie on Tuesday 3rd August at 6:30pm

Club Tournament: - The main Club 7's Festival is on Sunday 8th August at Pinkie, running from 10 - 2:30. All 8 of our teams will be in it this year. More details to follow.

Tesco Vouchers -We are still collecting these and have over 3000 so far (we already have over 2000 "banked" from previous years). Please hand them in if you have been collecting them.

Training -  PLEASE MARK NAMES ON RAINJACKETS AND SWEATSHIRTS TO AVOID THEM GETTING LOST !

Training Kit - If you have any old Errea training kit lying doing nothing, please hand it in to me and I can collate it and pass it on to a relevant charity. Then some team here or abroad (I will look into getting it to Malawi again) can get the use of it.

Matches -to view forthcoming fixtures click on this link and then select Under 9 or Under 10

Also, we are already having issues with the smaller groups having enough players on a Sunday for games. PLEASE ENSURE YOU LET COACHES KNOW IF YOU CANNOT MAKE A GAME AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE so we can try and draft in replacements in time.

Thank you for your help with setting-up the goals at Pinkie on Sundays and for dismantling them after the final game. We really appreciate this and hope this help continues every week.

Boot Exchange - I am keen to keep the boot exchange going so please continue to donate them.

Contact Details - Please ensure we hold up to date contact details for you so your coach can keep you informed of any late changes to information, particularly on a Sunday morning. Can you ensure your coach has an up-to-date contact number for you (preferably mobile) but also inform me so I can keep the central register up to date.

Send me an email to jjhood@btinternet.com as this will also allow me to issue information to you by email as well. I need address, home number and one (or two) mobile numbers. There is also a health and safety issue here, in case we need to contact you in an emergency. If you don't have email just let me have a piece of paper with the details.
